Lynda Birmantas Beam and Jonathan Beam are shiba fanciers from Northern
Illinois.
Lynda has shown dogs since 1973, and is a Life Member of the Alaskan Malamute
Club of America, and a member of the National Shiba Club of America. She is a
recipient of the AMCA Humanitarian Award and has judged the 1987 AMCA National
Sweepstakes, 2000 AMCA National Veteran Sweepstakes, and the 2006 NSCA National
Sweepstakes and Veteran Sweepstakes. She has served in various positions on the
Board of both clubs over the years. She was an Area Editor for the Alaskan
Malamute Club of America for several years in the 80's and also provided
Statistics for the AMCA Awards for several years during the 80s. She is an AMCA
approved mentor. She is also a past member of the Akita Club of America and
Basenji Club of America.
Jonathan has been involved in the Dog Fancy since we met in 2003 and owns Ch.
Storm Kloud's Gidget's Guess, and co-owns several other dogs as well. He has a
bad habit of beating Lynda in the ring when he's helping out. :)
We both belong to the Midwest Shiba Inu Rescue, Elgin Kennel Club and KC of
Yorkville and one or both of us have served as ring stewards at both shows. We
are also members of the American Coaster Enthusiasts and enjoy going to
amusement parks, especially Cedar Point.
The Shiba Home Page is one of the oldest shiba-specific sites on the internet
since 1996. We sponsor The Shiba Home Page in the hope of providing information
to current and future Shiba Inu owners/fanciers.
