What's a “qualifying” purchase?
The following books will be considered "qualifying books":
Books that meet the following two criteria:
- Books sold to customers who follow a special link from your sponsoring
Web site to our online catalog, add the book to their shopping basket, and submit
that order by using the Amazon.com order forms.
- Books listed in the Amazon.com online catalog at 10% off list price
on the date they are ordered. (This typically includes around 300,000 of the
best selling titles in the catalog).
The following books will not be considered qualifying books for referral
fees:
- Books listed as "special order" books in the Amazon.com catalog
on the date of sale
- Books for which the "Amazon.com Price" includes a discount other
than 10% of the posted list price on the date of sale
- Books which were added to the customer's shopping basket directly
from the Amazon.com catalog instead of through a special link from the sponsoring
Web site, even if the customer previously followed a special link from the sponsoring
Web site.
